Panayiotis Tafanides embarked on his seafarer career in 1995 as a Deck officer on Bulk carriers and VLCC Crude Oil Tankers. Progressing through various roles, including Crewing Superintended and Crewing Supervisor, he assumed the role of Senior Crewing and Training Supervisor from 2016 to 2022. Simultaneously, Panayiotis contributed to academic circles as a lecturer at Cyprus Maritime Academy.

In December 2022, Panayiotis took the next step in his career by accepting the position of Head of Training at Marin Shipmanagement. Holding numerous National and International certificates related to Maritime education, he remains an active member of various Cyprus Shipping bodies and entities.
